The Wake-Up Call

Like many farmers and homesteaders, we started with traditional commercial feed. It was convenient, widely available, and seemed like the standard choice. But as we learned more about what we were actually feeding our animals, we became increasingly concerned.

We discovered that many commercial feeds contain glyphosate residues and other harmful chemicals from conventionally-grown grains. These substances don't just affect our livestock—they accumulate in the eggs and meat we consume, impact the health of our land, and contribute to environmental degradation.

A Better Way Forward

We knew there had to be a better way. We wanted feed that we could trust—feed that was truly clean, transparent, and aligned with our values of sustainability and animal welfare. When we couldn't find exactly what we were looking for, we decided to create it ourselves.

That's how GrayStone Feeds was born right here on Vancouver Island. We spent months researching, formulating, and testing to create a feed that meets the highest standards of quality and purity. Every ingredient is verified non-GMO, carefully sourced, and chosen for its nutritional value and sustainability. By producing locally on Vancouver Island, we reduce transportation emissions and support our island farming community.
